Follow the information from source to use
1. Source intake
Identify the original file, its business purpose, its sensitivity, who depends on it, and the action the person must complete.
2. Structural reconstruction
Review how headings, reading order, lists, tables, fields, links, images, facts, and actions are represented for nonvisual use.
3. Accessible outputs
Confirm which outputs are appropriate for the source and workflow. Braillia can support formats such as HTML, EPUB, eBraille, TXT, and accessible PDF where appropriate.
4. Verification evidence
Review the validation, source, version, and transformation evidence available for the scoped workflow, including any known limitations requiring human review.
5. Delivery and use
Test independent output use and, where selected, direct delivery, QR pickup and SMS text delivery, mobile navigation, and document-grounded assistance.
02
Independent outputs and guided use are complementary
Use beyond the Braillia Portal
Structured outputs can give people and assistive technology a usable format beyond the original source and outside Braillia Portal.
Use within the Braillia experience
Braillia Portal can add organization-managed delivery, guided navigation, questions, reminders, and continued access when the workflow requires more than a file.
03
Evidence to request for a representative source
- The agreed source and its business purpose
- The accessible output formats appropriate to that source
- A review of reading order, navigation, tables, forms, facts, and actions
- Known ambiguities or elements requiring human review
- The intended delivery and independent-use path
- Acceptance criteria tied to what the user must accomplish
